On November 1st, 2019, Genie Innovations, Inc. — the State of Connecticut’s “no-bid” provider of Hosted and Premised-based VOIP technology to Municipalities, Schools and Libraries under a multi-year contract with the Capitol Region Council of Governments — acquired the Connecticut telecom service company, Telspan.

Telspan, founded in 1968, has over 50 years of telecommunications expertise in the Northeast United States with more than 1,300 business telephone installations in NJ, NY, and New England. It will continue to do business under its current name and service Genie Innovations, Inc. clients for IP and analog telephone system design, installation and maintenance; carrier coordination/resolution, communications workflow integration; and telecom relocation planning.

Telspan clients now have access to Genie Innovations’ award-winning IP Genie product suite for reliable hosted and premise-based Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) systems; Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery/Failover Solutions; distress signaling and lockdown technology for schools, municipalities and enterprises of any size; as well as scalable and cost-effective analog telephone line replacement called SIP trunking.

Hartford Business Journal acknowledged Genie Innovations, Inc. as Connecticut’s largest VOIP provider for 2017 and 2018. “Together, Genie Innovations, Inc. and Telspan help its clients communicate at the speed of innovation. As we focus on proven and cutting edge technologies, we will never lose focus on our valued clients. Our mission is to grant your telecom technology wishes,” explains Genie Innovations, Inc.
